CHS Alumni Newsletter #4
January 1, 2006
Happy New Year to everyone!
And believe it or not I actually typed 2006 for the first time without having to go back and change the 5 to a 6.
Click Here For Our Holiday Greeting Card to You!
It’s been almost 6 years since Gayle and I first reunited on Classmates.
Back before they started charging for people to e-mail and post messages.
I never thought at that time that we would be running our own little alumni group/ website/ message board.
Or that we would be happily married for almost three years.
This year will be our 3rd Annual Churchill Alumni Summer Bash.
Please mark your calendar for the date.
June 17th promises to be a fun day.
Plan on spending an hour or the day, whichever you have time for.
For the early birds, join Gayle, Denise & Don Reed and myself for breakfast.
After arriving early in the morning and spending the whole day talking to old friends and classmates we go home each year and wonder where the day went.
It seems like we just set up and it was time to go home already.
Let us know if you have any talents for promoting the event or organizing games. We are always happy to have additional help.
As always, information on the bash can be found HERE.

One of the ways that we are working with Churchill is to support the Golf outing for the Churchill Athletic Patrons.
Last year, thanks to contributions from numerous alumni, we sponsored one of the holes.
If you could help us out please send any donations to Don Nicholson * P.O. Box 1014 * Garden City* MI * 48136.
Please make all checks or money orders payable to Churchill Athletic Patrons.
Any amount is greatly appreciated.

Nankin Mills Elementary will be holding an open house for anyone who went there before they close the doors for the final school year.
I will let everyone know the date as soon as we have it.

If you happen to own a business and would like to sponsor a great event, I would love to talk to you.
I host the Don Nicholson Charity Car show each year.
The show is a benefit show for the Western Wayne Skill Center.
All profits go towards job training and teaching life skills to the mentally and physically challenged.
The Western Wayne Skill Center is located on Ann Arbor Trail West of Merriman - the old Henry Ford Jr. High.
If you would like to see what has been done in the past and see all the other sponsors that we work with please check out the car show section of my website at

Mark your calendar for a party!
Churchill '74 graduates turn 50 in 2006, so we have decided to put on an event to bring the class together again.
The event is Saturday, July 22nd, 2006, 6:00pm - 12:30 a.m at Hawthorne Valley Country Club in Westland.
The evening will consist of a sit down dinner, a professional DJ and a cake.
There will be a cash bar. No dress code! Dress up, or dress down. It's YOUR party. The cost is $35.00 per person.
They will be mailing out the invitations in late spring/early summer.
Space is limited at the banquet hall. We recommend you respond promptly if you want to attend.
They will be using the mailing list from their 30 year reunion.
If they did not collect your mailing address, or if your address has changed, contact the "74 Geezer Committee."
